Just under a year ago I tried to launch IT Junkie after a time away from the blogosphere. I was unsuccessful at the time because of a lack of vision for the blog and excessive work commitments. Well, I am going to have another go. This time there is a bit more vision and a bit more direction about where I want to take the blog. As before, I am going to try and build up a body of posts on all things to do with the latest developments in contemporary technology - gadgets, technology for small business, electronic security, software, open source solutions, and adventures in Linux. Of course, I won't be forgetting mentioning news on the latest trends and developments in the industry.

Sometimes using technology is a bit like a wrestling match - battling our expectations with reality. On a couple of rare occasions it can be a revelation, when you find that piece of kit that exceeds your expectations. Sometimes these pieces of kit are tools for work or business, sometimes they are toys. Whatever the case, this blog is going to be a diary of my life with technology.
